Well it has been as while since i updated my diary, so here i am 1 year later still taking a daily dose of 150g OF Tarceva , 2 years since diagnosis and 2yrs 8 months since the pains started.
The rash has now become stable as long as i take the doxecycline and use the moisturiser daily. As for my health i feel fine and i am living life as normal. I have managed to get myself back into some light work which i am quite enjoying. I do hope this post can give some encouragement to anyone who is going through this disease and taking Tarceva , It does take a while for it to get through the system with the side effects it does tend to have different effects on each individual. so to end i just want to say stay positive, think positive ,live your life as normal as possible ;D

well here we are another 3 months down the line, everyting still basically the same, a few niggles here and here but still leading a normal a life as possible, still doing some work, rash still stable with the occasional flare up. taking the 150mg daily , maybe 1 diclofenac daily and a couple of paracetemol nothing radical. breathing still very normal , sputum clear.

Thanks for the update Jim, good to hear your feeling well. I noticed you put about rash flare ups on this post, Ange keeps on getting them too but last weekend she went out for the first time in 11 months without any makeup on (girls don't count lippy as makeup apparently) we never thought that would ever happen again after the 1st few months on Tarceva. Anyone out there struggling with the rash try to stick with it because, in our experience, it does get better. Take Care Duane

Hi All, just a quick post, Ange has been on Tarceva a year today. The first few months she had to endure the horrendous rash, a touch of the runs & sever hair loss. The rash is now barely visible, the runs were never too bad & her hair drives her mad because it's gone a bit wavy.
I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank Jimmy, Deanne & all the other friends on this site that have posted their experiences, both good & bad, and helped us through this horrible 12 months. Please take care & thanks again Duane xx

Hi Duane
Well the 1st year milestone! I can relate to the rash and the runs as for the hair loss you cannot lose what you dont have!!! lmao. i ended up with eyelashes like Daisy the Cow i had to get deanne to trim them. As for the posts on expereiences it certainly does help.
