Hi All, On Thursday Jimmy will have been on Tarceva for one year! We are going out for a celebratory meal to mark this milestone. The fact that this drug is still being withheld to patients pains me everyday, it's a crime. We are well aware that not everyone has success with this drug but for those who do the benefits can be massive. Jimmy has been able to live his life to the full and enjoy things we have always enjoyed. without Tarceva this would not be possible. I am so happy to be writing this post my husband is a true trouper!

What a fantastic milestone for you both! A hard fought and won victory! A successful reaction to Tarceva which I hope continues for a long long time. Well done to you both - Enjoy your celebration - well deserved. Love, Kim xx

Hi Deanne & Jimmy,
What a great article and you both are troupers. You guys have had so much to deal with over the years and this just proves a point that things are worth fighting for.
Its just great news.
Take care guys, love always. Trace & Darren. x

Hi Danne and Jimmy
I am so glad you are both doing so well I just want to say you are both such an inspiration to everyone out there including myself my dad was diagnosed in April with nsclc stage iv I felt like giving up for him I was so negative and could not face him then I discovered th Roy Castle forum and your story you both gave me so much hope which I then could pass on to my dad I hope one day he will look up your site and discover there is life after cancer diagnosis until then he will just have to listen to me go on. I would just like to thank you both and if I can ever help you let me know because you have helped me so much. I hope you are doing as well on tarceva and I will look for your updates you are such a inspiration I hope you both know how much and this site is a credit to you Thanks again
All my love Donna

I second what deanne has said i do hope your dad does come onto the site , he needs to think positive , As far as i am concerned my pains started in October of 2005 so i am nearly 3 years down the line. So it just goes to show that this disease can be held back.
