The Roy Castle Lung foundation National Patient Involvement Conference. Jimmy and I attended this conference yesterday and it was a most pleasant experience. Everyone was really friendly, there were a number of people attending alone and they were also made very welcome. It was great to share experiences and be able to talk to others in the same position and gain more knowledge of the disease. We all know what a ruthless disease Lung Cancer is so the more knowledge the better and what better way to gain in than take to people who actually know! The event was sponsored by Roche and included your overnight stay accommodation, a evening meal your breakfast train fairs, taxi fairs to and from the venue, buffet lunch at the conference, and a packed lunch for your journey home. I would encourage others to go to the event next year. It gives you a chance to voice your opinion and learn more about the disease in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Everyone from the foundation was lovely and covered a wide range of topics. You were given a chance to ask questions at the end of each presentation. Hope to see some of you there next year Deanne Jenkyns x

Deanne,
I subscribe to the Roy Castle Lung Foundation, but never had any notification of this Conference. I never get any notification of anything from them. This was one of my first ports of call when Kent was diagnosed. Maybe this is why some people did not know about it.
