Hiya All, there is a NICE hearing on the 6th of June in London and I have managed to secure a seat. I cannot believe I got one because they are very limited and only a select few can attend only 25 places available, including consultees and commentators, I emailed them before I went away and told them I wanted to attend to represent the members on lc-action for life, and said a little about my campaign. Members of the press will be attending so If it is knocked back I will be doing my best to make myself heard. So I have booked the hotel and Train. Will be going down the night before and returning after the hearing.
Take care all, Deanne x

Well done on getting a place!! I am sure you will make yourself heard and look forward to hearing all about it, especially how this organisation works "on our behalf?" Are they reviewing their earlier decision on Tarceva? Ros

Hiya Ross, Here is some more details about the appeal:
Erlotinib for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer: Appeal The Institute has arranged a hearing for four appeals received against the Final Appraisal Determination and Guidance on this technology.
As set out in the Guidance for Appellants members of the public, including consultees and commentators for this appraisal, and the press, may request to attend the hearing. Members of the public may register to attend the appeal hearing by completing and submitting the form below. Journalists wishing to attend the appeal should contact the NICE press office direct.
The name of the appellant will be published on this page on the day of the appeal. The Institute will not comment on speculation as to the identity of appellants prior to publication of this information on the Institute's website.
