As you may or may not be aware you can buy TARCEVA from other countries with a presciption. Here is an example of saving Money. Buying from the U.K £1741 .00 for 28 tablets (150mg) including delivery, Information pack and 24hr assistance Buying from www.Canadadrugs.com 30 x 150mg ( including delivery) = $2563.45.= £1121.46 a saving of £619.54. Now you would be thinking that is wonderful but NO!! Our goverment has decided that even though we have this disease they still want to make money out of our misery. We have to pay VAT which equates to £196.25 which still saves a Massive £423.29p unfortunately i have only found this out after paying £1741.00. There is no DUTY to pay. I did ask enquire about a reduction in the VAT because of being a prescription drug. Customs & Excise says no as it has a commodity code it is liable to the 17.5% VAT. Obviously there will be cheaper countries to buy this drug from ie: Pakistan , Thailand and Egypt to name just a few. I have not been able to get any prices from these countries as yet but as soon as i do i will post them on here. jim

One of Britain's leading cancer specialists, Karol Sikora, told a meeting of politicians and doctors last week that he had a number of private patients who had begun to order drugs from one of the largest internet pharmacies in Canada, CanadaDrugs.com. 'These patients are well informed, and they shop around for the cheapest prices,' he said. 'I had one patient, a very well educated young woman who wanted Tarceva for lung cancer. She couldn't get the drug on the NHS. The price from a Harley Street clinic worked out at around £75 a tablet - but ordering from Canada would bring it down to £35 a tablet.' He told the conference that a younger generation of patients would demand the best treatments, even if the NHS decided they were not affordable. 'We're in a world where an easyJet flight can be booked within minutes. The idea that you can't get a cancer drug that will extend your life because a government body has decreed you can't have it just won't work.' www.canadadrugs.com/search.php?keyword=tarceva&x=11&y=14
